We are seeking an experienced Team Manager within our Integrated Front Door Team.
Working Arrangements: Agile – minimum 3 days in the office per week
Base: Wombwell Police Station, Barnsley.

About the Role:
In Barnsley, we are one service, working together to improve outcomes for children. Our Integrated Front Door (IFD) is the first contact point for families, professionals, or the public sharing safeguarding concerns about a child. Collaborating with South Yorkshire Police, Health Partnership, Early Help Services, Education, and Probation, you will ensure high-quality, timely, and child-focused decisions are made for children needing help or protection.
As one of three team managers, you will uphold high standards, ensuring effective triage and screening to make the right decisions at the right time. You will chair MADA, Strategy, and other complex meetings, with a good understanding of threshold application and confidence in decision-making and risk analysis.
Adopting a strengths-based approach and committed to partnership working with families, you will play a key role in planning and improving outcomes from the start of the child's journey.
You will manage a stable, experienced team of qualified social workers, providing reflective supervision, undertaking Quality Assurance activities, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

What you will need:
You should have significant post-qualifying experience in statutory children’s social care, a solid understanding of relevant legislation and guidance, and a commitment to ongoing professional development. Experience in a multi-agency 'Front Door' setting and a proven track record of developing practice and improving performance are desirable.
You must hold a Social Work qualification and be registered with Social Work England.
