Financial Planner – Manage £40m AUM book of clients Office based in Swindon (but extensive flexibility) Salary negotiable £70k - £75k plus quarterly bonuses Clients holds up to £5m of invested assets My client are an independent wealth planning firm with offices near Swindon. They offer whole of market financial advice to HNW retirees, accumulators, local families and SME owners based across Wiltshire, Hampshire, Surrey and London. In their current setup they manage the affairs of 500 clients with assets ranging from £300k - £5m. The advisers consult on pensions, investments, tax planning, cashflow modelling, retirement planning, protections, and some esoteric schemes such as VCT & EIS schemes. They have very longstanding relations with professional stakeholders who refer business to them. The Managing Director is creating a brand-new role for an experienced Financial Planner who will manage c.£40m AUM. This is a servicing role, but you will be encouraged and incentivised to generate new business with quarterly bonuses. This role will suit a candidate with a background in an independent wealth planning firm who is preferably Chartered or aspires to work towards Chartered status. However, my client will consider someone with a restricted advice background. You will have dedicated admin and paraplanning support. Most of the funds under management are held on Transact and Wealthtime but they use a wide panel of providers. If you have knowledge of Intelligent Office, this would be helpful. You will need to be more office based to begin with to build relations with your colleagues and learn the systems and processes within the business but then you can manage your own affairs and only need to be in the office on the odd occasion.
