Educato is working on behalf of a primary school in the St Helens area that is looking to recruit an SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil in Early Years. The school requires the incoming SEN Teaching Assistant to work with the pupil for the full academic year. This is initially a supply role, but there are opportunities to earn a school contract. The successful candidate will be expected to be ready to start in September 2025 on a full-time basis.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality support to a child in Early Years within a primary school in Oldham. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Supporting pupils with SEN
2. Assisting with planning and delivering personalized learning activities
3. Helping develop communication, social, and emotional skills
4. Contributing to observations, assessments, and progress tracking
5. Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and families to provide holistic support
Qualifications and experience:
* Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent experience
* Graduates of Psychology and Sociology are encouraged to apply
* Sports graduates are also welcome
* Experience working with children with autism, ADHD, or other additional needs is a bonus
* Team Teach certification is highly desirable
