Family and Systemic Psychotherapist

We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated, enthusiastic and compassionate Family and Systemic Psychotherapist within the Early Intervention Service (EIS). This is an exciting opportunity to develop your therapeutic skills, working in a supportive group of clinical psychologists, CBT psychotherapists and family therapists. You will be required to deliver evidence‑based family therapy and family interventions to our service users and families, as identified in the National guidelines.
Indirect work includes facilitating multidisciplinary reflective practice groups and team formulation sessions, supervision, systemic consultation, running teaching and training, audit and research, as well as opportunities for community and outreach development work.
Job responsibilities
* Provide a qualified specialist family and systemic therapy service to service users of the Early Intervention Service (EIS) and At Risk Mental State (ARMS) pathway.
* Provide specialist systemic assessment and therapy while offering advice and consultation on service users' psychological care to psychologist/therapist colleagues, non‑psychologist colleagues and other non‑professional carers.
* Receive regular clinical supervision in accordance with good practice.
* Provide clinical supervision to trainee(s) or other professionals.
* Assist and advise the Senior Operational Manager and Senior Psychology colleagues in evaluating clear, achievable and measurable objectives.
* Take sole professional responsibility and exercise autonomous professional and clinical judgement within the overall framework of Trust and UKCP policies/guidelines/standards.
* Utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the team/service.

* Psychological therapies.
* Knowledge of theory and practice of specific psychological work with complex issues.
* Research methods.

* Psychological intervention, assessment, consultation.
* High level communication skills.
Qualifications
* Professional qualification in family and systemic psychotherapy.
* Additional short courses.
Experience
* Experience of specialist systemic assessment and treatment of service users across the full range of care settings, including outpatient, community, primary care and inpatient settings.
* Experience of working with young people.
* Experience of the application of psychological therapy in different cultural contexts.
