Position – Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home (Learning Disabilities)

Where you’ll be doing it – Nr Reading
Your employment contract – Permanent
Your hours – 40 per week 9 to 5pm with flexibility to the needs of the business

Who you’ll be working for –

Their homes create safe, structured environments where children and young people can flourish emotionally, socially, and academically. The organisation places therapeutic practice and teamwork at the heart of everything they do.

What you’ll be doing –
As Registered Manager, you’ll lead a dedicated residential team to deliver the highest standards of care and compliance. You’ll take responsibility for the daily operations of the home, ensuring it meets regulatory and quality expectations while maintaining a culture of warmth, empathy, and consistency.

Key responsibilities:
* Lead, inspire, and develop a team of professionals delivering care to young people with learning disabilities
* Ensure the home meets Ofsted standards and safeguarding frameworks
* Promote trauma-informed, therapeutic care in a nurturing environment
* Build positive relationships with local authorities and external professionals
* Manage budgets, audits, and care planning
* Champion continuous improvement and staff development

Requirements –
* Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent)
* Working towards or completed Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (Children & Young People)
* Previous experience managing or deputising in a children’s residential setting
* Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and children’s home legislation
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people to achieve their full potential
