What You'll Be Doing:
Teaching and Inspiring: Lead engaging, dynamic lessons that make the wonders of Physics come alive. Whether you're explaining the principles of motion, the mysteries of the universe, or the cutting-edge developments in energy, your classes will excite and challenge students.
Innovative Curriculum Delivery: Bring fresh and creative approaches to teaching, using a mix of practical experiments, modern technology, and real-world examples to make Physics relevant and exciting.
Empowering Students: Help students develop a deep understanding of Physics concepts, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills that will benefit them far beyond the classroom.
Collaborative Approach: Work closely with fellow science teachers and a dedicated leadership team to develop an engaging, well-rounded curriculum.
Assessment and Feedback: Regularly monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their best results.
Extracurricular Opportunities: Lead or participate in extracurricular activities that further foster students' interest in science, from science clubs to competitions or field trips.
What We’re Looking for:
A Qualified Teacher: You must have QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification, along with proven experience teaching Physics at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (KS5 is a bonus!).
A Passion for Science: A deep passion for Physics and a desire to inspire students to explore its wonders and practical applications.
Engaging Teaching Style: The ability to explain complex scientific concepts in a clear, engaging, and accessible way, making learning fun and interactive.
Team Player: A collaborative attitude, working well within a team of teachers and support staff to drive departmental and school-wide success.
Commitment to Excellence: A genuine desire to help students reach their academic potential, with high standards of teaching and personal integrity.
Desirable: Experience teaching A-Level Physics and familiarity with the Edexcel or AQA curriculum would be a bonus.
