This exciting opportunity is for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join one of our welcoming and inclusive primary schools in the Southampton area. What You’ll Bring to the Role Experience supporting children in a primary school or similar educational setting. A positive, patient, and empathetic approach to learning and wellbeing. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff. Flexibility to adapt to different learning needs and classroom environments. Reliability, enthusiasm, and a proactive attitude. A relevant qualification such as Level 2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (desirable but not essential). Your Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional or special educational needs. Assist teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons that inspire all learners. Help prepare resources, support classroom activities, and maintain a positive learning environment. Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing, supporting pupils’ confidence and independence. Contribute to a safe, caring, and stimulating school environment where every child can thrive.
