Legacy Sport Academy Ltd is looking for a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team, working within a local primary school in the LE16 area. This role offers the opportunity to support pupils' learning during the school day while also delivering high-quality wraparound care before and after school.
Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30am–5:30pm (with a 1-hour lunch break)
Key Responsibilities:
* Support teachers in the delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons.
* Work with individuals and small groups of pupils to help them achieve their potential.
* Assist with classroom preparation, resources, and displays.
* Promote positive behaviour and a nurturing, safe environment for all pupils.
* Provide wraparound care before and after the school day, including:
* Supervising activities and play.
* Supporting homework and quiet learning.
* Preparing and serving light refreshments.
* Creating a safe, welcoming, and fun environment for all children.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting.
* Be caring, approachable, and proactive in supporting pupils' learning and wellbeing.
* Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Be reliable, flexible, and committed to supporting children throughout the day.
* Hold (or be willing to obtain) relevant safeguarding and first aid training.

Essential Requirements:
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
* Full UK driving licence and access to transport.
* Ability to pass an enhanced DBS check (clean criminal record required).
* A proactive, positive, and reliable attitude.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting (preferred but not essential)
