An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our small HR Team at Fairfield College in Dilton Marsh. The HR Admin Support role is essential for the smooth day-to-day operation of the HR function across the Trust.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience with Human Resources processes, including safer recruitment, staff training, and staff absence management. You will work closely with the Head of HR, HR Officer, and other Trust leaders and managers to support a wide range of employment-related issues.
You should have excellent IT and organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and be an effective communicator with a friendly manner.
Your responsibilities will include recording and monitoring staff absence on the HR MIS system, maintaining accurate HR records, and supporting managers with HR matters while maintaining confidentiality.
You will assist with arranging interview days, act as the first point of contact for candidates and interviewing managers, and support the safe recruitment and induction of new staff. This includes carrying out identity checks during interview days to ensure the process runs smoothly.
While HR experience is advantageous, it is not essential as full training will be provided. We are also open to offering a credible HR qualification via an apprenticeship scheme.
The ideal candidate will be organised, detail-oriented, and able to work independently, prioritising workload to support the HR function effectively. The role reports directly to the Head of HR but involves working closely with other members of the Trust management team to support the wider workforce.
This is a term-time-only position with an expectation of flexible work during at least 2 weeks (negotiable) over college holiday periods, including at least 1 week during the summer holidays. Flexibility during closure periods is available.
Fairfield Trust is an independent education provider, offering approximately 2 weeks additional leave over the summer compared to most Wiltshire schools.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake mandatory safeguarding training and a DBS check at the appropriate level before starting.
