Payroll Manager Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to join their organisation on a 12-month FTC basis Hybrid working Central London £45-50k per annum Duties include; Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, including salaried, hourly, and contract staff. Ensure timely and accurate payment of wages, salaries, bonuses, and deductions. Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with data protection regulations. Ensure payroll complies with HMRC regulations and other statutory requirements (e.g. PAYE, NI, pensions, student loans). Prepare and submit statutory filings such as P45s, P60s, and Real Time Information (RTI) submissions. Liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies during audits or inspections. Oversee payroll software systems, ensuring they are up-to-date and fit for purpose. Implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. Collaborate with HR and Finance to ensure alignment of payroll data with employee records and financial reporting. Lead and develop the payroll team, providing training, support, and performance management. Delegate tasks effectively and ensure team members are clear on responsibilities and deadlines. Act as the main point of contact for payroll-related queries from employees, HR, and Finance. Provide guidance on payroll policies and procedures. Support senior management with payroll data and analysis for strategic decision-making. Manage pension scheme contributions and auto-enrolment processes. You will have; Strong previous experience of end-to-end payroll operations including bacs, FPS & EPS Familiarity with UK tax laws, HMRC regulations, pensions, and employment legislation. Skilled in payroll systems like and Excel – including vlookups and pivot tables. Strong attention to detail and ability to audit, reconcile, and report payroll data.
