Are you a Commissioning Manager or Commissioning Lead looking for progression in the energy from waste sector? Our client, a global greentech company operating in the waste-to-energy market, is recruiting for a Commissioning Manager for their Energy from Waste plants across the UK, in preparation for the commissioning stage of their projects.
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in energy from waste and turnkey projects, including expertise with grate and grating components, grate systems, and combustion.
This role can be either on a contract or staff basis and is field-based, covering UK plant sites.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage Documentation and Commissioning: Oversee project documentation and commissioning activities, ensuring customer specifications are met.
2. Control Schedule, Budget, and Safety: Ensure adherence to schedules, costs, and safety standards, while managing risks and deviations.
3. Supervise Personnel and Training: Supervise commissioning staff and facilitate customer training.
4. Customer Liaison: Act as the main on-site contact for customers, ensuring safe operations.
5. QA/QC and Handover: Ensure completion of QA/QC and handover documentation before project takeover.
Qualifications:
1. 5+ years of experience in large-scale industrial plant construction, specifically in commissioning management or leading commissioning roles.
2. SMSTS, IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent managers qualification.
3. Valid SCC safety certification for contractors.
4. Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
5. Business fluency in German and English; additional languages are a plus.
