?️ Build and validate 3D CFD models, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, and turn simulation insights into high-impact engineering improvements.
? Help drive innovation in high-performance, downhole environments by analyzing fluid behavior and contributing to both sustaining and new product development.
What You’ll Do
* Develop and maintain accurate 3D CFD models for existing and new tools
* Validate simulations with lab and field data to ensure accuracy
* Analyze flow performance and optimize internal fluid behavior
* Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and operations teams
* Design and execute test rigs to verify models and tool performance
* Document and present simulation findings clearly and concisely
* Support redesign efforts and obsolescence management
* Research new technologies to improve rotary steerable system performance
* Participate in occasional international travel
What You Need to Have
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or a related discipline
* Minimum 5 years of CFD or fluid dynamics experience
* Deep understanding of fluid mechanics and turbomachinery principles
* Proficiency in Ansys Fluent and 3D CAD (preferably Creo)
* Solid grasp of hydraulic systems, flow concepts, and fluid equations
* Ability to validate and interpret complex simulations
* Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines within project timelines
Nice to Have
* Experience with non-Newtonian fluids and extreme or downhole environments
* Familiarity with Python (e.g., PyFluent) or MATLAB
* Experience using open-source tools like OpenFOAM
* Knowledge of Creo CAD software
* Additional modeling experience (FEA, stress analysis, dynamic simulations)
