Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Qualified Dental Nurse to join our team. This role will be based across the Restorative Dental Department, also supporting restorative postgraduate programmes. The main work site will be The Royal London Dental Hospital in Whitechapel.
The Special Care Department is a busy multidisciplinary team which provides a range of dental treatment to our patients, including delivery of care using conscious sedation. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a range of staff including consultants, specialist dentists, DCTs, Registers and postgraduate students.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The qualified dental nurse is an integral member of the dental team. They play an important role in the provision of dental services and the effective operation of the dental institute and outreach facilities.
* Provide high-quality dental nursing support within the Restorative Department and Special Care services, including support for conscious sedation where required.
* Support restorative postgraduate programmes and liaise with consultants, specialist dentists, DCTs, Registers and postgraduate students.
* Demonstrate compassionate and patient-centred care, with a focus on Infection Prevention and Control.
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, using initiative as appropriate and maintaining a high standard of professional conduct.
Qualifications and experience
* Dental Nursing qualification (GDC registered) is mandatory.
* Sedation qualification is mandatory.
* Experience as a Qualified Dental Nurse with exposure to Special Care or community dental services is desirable.
* Registration with the GDC is mandatory.
* Previous experience in a Dental Hospital or Special Care Department is desirable.

* The role may require working across different Barts Health sites as needed.
