The Accounting Operations Unit is central to Home Office finance, responsible for key functions such as Corporate Reporting, HMT Reporting, Management Accounting, and Financial Reporting. The Head of Unit Costing & Income Modelling is responsible for leading the Fees & Income Planning Team’s unit costing and income modelling to support the department’s funding strategy. This role manages 2 SEOs and plays a critical role in developing finance products, including departmental transparency returns and the Annual Reports and Accounts. The role has a transformation focus, having initiated efforts to streamline cost models and processes for greater efficiency and assurance. It also involves responding to high-priority Ministerial requests for fee modelling related to funding strategies, including Spending Reviews, collaborating with Finance Business Partners and Home Office Analysis and Insight to ensure forecasts are robust and aligned with policy and operational developments.
