GSL Education are seeking a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join a warm and inclusive school in Rustington. Role Overview: Being a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant, you will assist the class teacher and SENCO in delivering personalised learning and behaviour support plans. As a 1:1 LSA, you will: Provide tailored one-to-one support for a pupil with specific learning or additional needs. Help create a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment. Assist the class teacher and SENCO in delivering personalised learning and behaviour support plans. Encourage the pupil’s confidence, independence, and engagement in learning. Support emotional wellbeing and help the pupil develop communication and social skills. Monitor progress and share observations with staff to ensure consistent support. Requirements for 1:1 Learning Support Assistant: Previous experience supporting children with SEND, learning difficulties, or additional needs (school or care setting desirable). Strong communication, patience, and behaviour management skills. A compassionate, proactive, and supportive approach to working with pupils. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
