Group Learning and Development Specialist - Fields and Fraser Hart

We are seeking a proactive and innovative Learning and Development Specialist to support the growth of our teams and drive organisational goals.
You’ll be responsible for developing our teams in Ireland (Fields Jewellers – 14 retail stores and 1 corporate office) and the UK (Fraser Hart Jewellers – 22 retail stores and 2 corporate offices).
The ideal candidate will be passionate about learning with a positive can-do attitude, high energy, creativity, lots of enthusiasm and a good sense of humour.
Key responsibilities:
Identify learning needs
• Conduct training needs analysis using various methods (focus groups, surveys, interviews, store visits) to identify skill gaps and learning opportunities across the organisation.
• Gather feedback from stakeholders to ensure training programmes are aligned with business objectives.
Training programme design and development
•Design, develop, and create learning solutions including workshops, learning guides, e-learning modules and blended learning programmes.
Facilitation
• Deliver engaging face-to-face workshops and training courses to enhance skills and improve performance.
Training evaluation
•Measure the effectiveness of learning initiatives through assessments, feedback and performance metrics.
•Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Business support:
•Work closely with Regional, Store and Head Office managers and teams to coach, support and guide on learning solutions.
E-learning:
• Design, develop, and create interactive e-learning modules using authoring tools, e.g. Captivate.
LMS:
• Manage the company’s LMS including uploading courses, maintaining user data, and generating reports.
Continuous improvement:
• Encourage a culture of learning within the organisation.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in learning and development.
Other duties:
•In addition to the above you will be required to carry out additional ad-hoc duties, e.g. workshop administration.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
• Experience of working in a retail focused environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships easily.
• Ability to work on own initiative and also as part of a team.
•Strong attention to detail.
•Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills.
•Ability to work under pressure.
ESSENTIAL:
•At least 1-2 years’ experience in a learning and development role.
•Training qualification (CIPD, Diploma or Degree)
•Experience of conducting training needs analysis, design, delivery and evaluation of training solutions.
•Exceptional writing skills with a proven ability to produce clear, concise, and engaging written content.
•Competent in using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience using LMS and e-learning authoring tools.
Please note: This role requires regular travel within the UK and Ireland.
