Join Us as a Registered Manager

About our Home

NeighbourHope is building a safe, happy, and loving family‑like children's home in Nuneaton for maximum four children and young people aged from 10-17yrs old with learning disabilities, autism, and associated needs. This includes children who may experience behaviour that challenges, mild to moderate physical disabilities, sensory impairments, or communication difficulties.

As we prepare for Ofsted registration, we are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to build a loving environment for children and young people, under the support of an experienced Responsible Individual — from pre-registration to full occupancy and beyond.

Safeguarding and child protection are at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to creating a safe, caring and respectful environment, and we expect every team member to share in this responsibility. To ensure the highest standards of protection, all roles are subject to appropriate safeguarding checks.

Equality, diversity and inclusion shape the way we see people and work together. We believe every person is created with unique value and potential, and we are committed to nurturing a workplace where everyone is treated with dignity and respect, differences are celebrated, and all voices are heard. By championing these values, we build a community founded on compassion, empowerment and collaboration—so every colleague can thrive, and together we can better serve young people with hope.

About the Role

A Registered Manager is the heart of a children's home. As Registered Manager, you will:

* Be positive, and relationship-focused leader to build and guide our home for children with learning disabilities, autism, and associated needs.
* Create a warm, stable, and family-like environment where children feel safe, happy, and connected.
* Lead with integrity, compassion, and professionalism.
* Ofsted Pre-registration preparation to full occupation under the support of an RI with over 20 years experience in social health and care, including children's home.
* Oversee daily care, staff supervision, safeguarding, and compliance with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Ofsted's Quality Standards.
* Build a staff team that maintains positive relationships with children, staff, families, and professionals.
* Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive atmosphere and environment where every child can develop life skills, grow in confidence, and prepare for the future.
* Manage rotas, training, finance and performance, ensuring a capable and caring team.
* Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections, meeting or exceeding the Quality Standards.
* Well communication with all management, professionals and staff.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for someone who is:

* Passionate and kind towards children, with patience, empathy, and emotional maturity.
* A good listener and communicator —approachable, encouraging, and able to connect with people at all levels.
* Honest, fair, and dependable—a leader who inspires trust and respect.

* Positive, energetic, and proactive, bringing enthusiasm and joy into the home.

* Strong in execution, able to make clear decisions and follow them through.

* A genuine team player who values collaboration and builds strong, supportive relationships.

* Flexible and resilient, able to adapt and respond calmly to challenges or change.

* Committed to taking responsibility, leading by example, and creating a home where children feel safe, happy, and valued.

You are also someone who also has:

* At least 5 years of relevant experience working with children or young people in residential settings, including at least 1 years at a managerial level (in a Deputy position).

* A strong understanding of children's social care, safeguarding, and trauma-informed practice.

* A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or a willingness to complete a Level 5 qualification through on-the-job training or an equivalent program.

* Eligibility to register with Ofsted as a Registered Manager.

* A full, clean UK driving licence.

* Availability to work Monday–Friday (9am–5pm), with shared on-call responsibilities.

What We Offer

* Competitive salary (£43,000 – £55,000 per year) depends on experience and qualifications.
* A supportive, values-driven team environment

* Ongoing training and professional development

* Free parking and employee wellbeing support

* An opportunity to make a real and lasting impact in children's lives
