Job Description
We are looking for a Facilities & Estates Operative to help maintain and improve the outdoor environments across our estates in Blackburn. This role focuses on ensuring communal outdoor spaces are clean, safe and well presented for residents.
You will carry out a variety of estate-based duties including, environmental cleaning, waste removal, and graffiti removal, to communal areas and pathways. The role involves working across multiple sites, using tools and equipment to maintain outdoor spaces and responding to day-to-day environmental issues on our estates.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out routine waste collection and disposal across internal and external communal areas.
* Ensure communal areas are clean and free from rubbish, fly tipping, and graffiti where possible.
* Operate waste management equipment safely and correctly.
* Assist with minor repairs and maintenance duties related to waste areas and communal spaces.
* Work flexibly across teams to support wider estate management tasks as needed.
* Engage with residents to provide excellent customer service and respond promptly to waste-related inquiries or concerns.
* Comply with health and safety procedures and policies at all times.
Candidate Requirements:
* Valid full manual UK driving license.
* Experience in waste management, cleaning, or caretaking roles.
* Good literacy and numeracy skills for accurate record keeping.
* Strong customer service skills and a customer-oriented approach.
* Ability to work flexibly and adapt to varying tasks and duties.
