Permanent, Full time Contract
Salary £38,712.18 per annum (dependant on experience)rising to £41,275.26 on completion of a successful probation period. Our salaries are paid above the minimum wage and proven to be competitive with other establishments within the area.

About Us
Affinity Children's Care Ltd has 2 therapeutic children's residential homes in Walsall (2 bed) which are fully operational and have recently opened another 2 homes in Castleford. We offer a variety of residential placements to young people between the ages of 8 – 18 who may display emotional and challenging behaviours. These young people may have experienced significant adversity and trauma in their young lives and may no longer able to reside within their familial / foster home.
In addtition to this our vision is to open another 3 - 4 homes over the next 2 - 3 years where there will be plenty of scope for progression for those who demonstrate a wish to progress and a caring/development environment for our looked after young people.
Our Aim
We aim to create a safe and sustainable nurturing environment for our young people and a developmental and rewarding workplace for our care team. We ensure our team(s) adhere to Ofsted standards and guidelines referencing the Children’s Act and Children’s Care Standards, Ofsted is the looked after children’s regulatory body.
Our position
The Deputy Manager is to support and work alongside the Dual Registered Manager of the Residential Children’s Home in efficiently co-managing the house budget, overseeing the development of staff and the young people in placement, formulating and updating placement plans, risk assessments and positive handling plans.
You should have Level 4 diploma in Children’s and Young People Workforce or transferable qualification, with an understanding of the challenges young people and carers face within a residential care setting. It would be advantageous to be working towards or completed Level 5 diploma in Children’s and Young People workforce.
If you hold 2 years previous experience in a supervisory position as well as being a passionate individual and feel you can be a good role model for our young people, encourage them to develop meaningful relationships and attachments, whilst contributing to their development to reach their full potential this role could be of interest. In return we can provide access to opportunities for development both personally and professionally and progression within the company, as well as training and access to CPD.
Working hours are 46.5 per week, working a variety of shift patterns including late night, early mornings, weekends and either a wakening or sleeping night. Your working week covers Monday – Sunday inclusive.
A Full UK driving licence is required.
