Job Overview
This role is operating as a self‑employed contractor covering work as an Assessor for a large retail client in the UK. You must live in the UK. A pre‑requisite for this is that all Assessors are qualified as Environmental Health Practitioners, ideally with EHORB registration (EHO or FSO). Assessor locations are needed throughout London & the South East of England. The role is responsible for delivering Food Safety Assessments within retail, meeting customers’ specific requirements efficiently and professionally.
Responsibilities
* Provide your monthly availability for the proposed work.
* Plan and manage the work given within the agreed timescales.
* Complete retail assessments in accordance with legal and client‑driven requirements.
* Prepare audit reports immediately after audit and submit on the day of the audit.
* Correct and update any errors on the reports within 12 hours of the request.
* Keep the Line Manager / Lead Auditor appraised of client requests during audits.
* Allow shadow and witness audits from the client, the line manager or senior team as required.
* Maintain CDP and take on additional training as required when new clients are onboarded.
* Maintain a high level of IT skills in line with equipment and software used in the business.
Qualifications
You need to be qualified as an Environmental Health Practitioner, ideally with EHORB. Full training will be given for these audits.
