SEND Teaching Assistant (Full-time, Temporary)

£460 - £525 per week (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)
September 2026 – July 2027
The School and Role
On behalf of the Connect Multi Academy Trust, based in the Durham area, we are recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time basis from September 2026. The SEND Teaching Assistant appointed for the position will be working in a specific SEND unit at school, which is for children in Upper KS2 (Year 5/Year 6). The role would require someone with a strong background in working with pupils with additional needs. This is a ‘Good’ Primary School, where staff are committed to supporting each child and using adaptive strategies to meet children’s needs.
Requirements
The desired SEND Teaching Assistant will have;
- Experience of working with primary school aged children
- Experience of working with pupils with SEND
- A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
- An ability to work as part of a team
