Job Description
Please note that this is a part-time, term-time position. Your salary will be pro-rata based on hours and weeks worked.
If you start during the normal school session, an adjustment will be made to your first pay to account for holidays. After this adjustment, you will receive a twelfth of your annual salary regularly.
You will receive an email from our payroll department before your first pay, advising the amount to be deducted.
If you start on the first day of term, this adjustment will not apply.
This is a temporary post until 10/08/2026.
Role Overview
Learning Assistants work collaboratively as part of the school team or a specialist educational service under the supervision of the Head Teacher or designated manager. Their role is to promote effective learning, teaching, personal development, health, well-being, and a positive atmosphere of achievement.
They support teachers in using resources effectively to enhance teaching and learning, raise attainment, and contribute to the safety, supervision, and care of pupils, including those with additional support needs arising from behavioral, learning, sensory, or physical impairments, or family circumstances.
Learning Assistants work with pupils individually or in groups across various settings, requiring flexibility based on the school's needs.
