Overview

Applications are invited for the post of Associate Professor (or Professor) in the field of Cosmology in the Astrophysics sub-department of the University of Oxford. The successful candidate will also be appointed to a Tutorial Fellowship in Physics at St Peter's College under arrangements described in the Job Description and Person Specification. The appointment will be initially for five years, after which, upon successful review, the post-holder will be eligible for reappointment to retirement age.

Responsibilities and aims

Candidates with significant experience in the analysis of large-scale structure and cosmic microwave background data are particularly encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will also play a role in the running of the College as a charity trustee and a member of its Governing Body.

Qualifications and profile

The successful candidate will hold a doctorate in astronomy, astrophysics, theoretical physics or a related field, and will have a proven record of research in astrophysics.
