As a Workshop Technician you will be required to undertake the repairs to all equipment arriving at the workshop on a daily basis from our operational sites, this will include all types of pumps, blowers, gearboxes and mechanical drive systems. The repairs are to be undertaken according to all the original manufacturer specifications and quality standards ensuring all environmental and customer service standards are met, whilst also meeting Health & Safety legislation.
Your main duties will be:
• To undertake the repairs to all assets that arrive at the workshop from operational sites this will include the stripping of pumps etc to ascertain the condition of all the parts then identify what requires replacement.
• Be competent in understanding technical drawings and rebuilding all assets as per the original manufacturer specifications and tolerances.
• Recommend possible upgrades to assets and offer cost effective solutions to our customers as required.
• Be willing to offer on site technical assistance and offer advice over the telephone to our field technicians.
• Preferably be competent in operating machine tools such as lathes and milling machines.
• Be able to work in an organised manner with H&S as the main priority.
