A reputable Building Services Consultancy is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its growing team in Sussex. The practice is known for delivering innovative, technically robust, and sustainable engineering solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects including commercial, mission-critical facilities, hotels, residential, and mixed-use developments.

The Role
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will take a leading role in the design and delivery of electrical building services projects from initial concept through to completion. Working closely with other engineers, you will contribute to technically challenging developments including data centres, high-rise residential schemes, hospitality projects, and commercial buildings.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Leading electrical design elements across multiple projects
* Coordinating with design teams and external stakeholders
* Producing detailed design calculations, specifications, reports, and drawings
* Managing project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation
* Undertaking site inspections and supervising installation, commissioning, and testing
* Ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and relevant industry standards
* Supporting and mentoring junior engineers
* Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and project partners
About You
You will be a motivated and technically strong engineer who enjoys working on complex projects and contributing to high-quality design solutions.
Key Requirements:
* Membership of a professional engineering institution (or working towards Chartership)
* 3–6+ years’ experience within Building Services Engineering
* Strong technical knowledge across mechanical building services design
* Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills
* Commercial awareness and ability to manage project deliverables
* Potential to take on design team leadership responsibilities
* Experience across multiple sectors such as data centres, residential, commercial, or hospitality is advantageous
