MHST Senior Clinician and Supervisor - Mid Essex
Join our team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. NELFT is the largest provider of Mental Health Support Teams (MHST’s) in England, delivering evidence‑based individual and group interventions for children and young people aged 5‑18 with mild to moderate mental health difficulties. The Mid Essex MHST covers Braintree, Chelmsford and Maldon and is an early intervention, evidence‑based service with a strong whole‑school focus. Responsibilities
* Work in partnership with schools, CYP and families to develop intervention plans and agreed outcomes.
* Support the Locality Clinical Lead with formulation and management plans for schools, parents and CYP using specialist psychological interventions.
* Effectively manage a caseload of CYP, completing thorough assessments, risk assessments, care plans and reviews.
* Provide caseload management and supervision to Trainee Education Mental Health Practitioners, Education Mental Health Practitioners and Senior Mental Health Practitioners.
* Support the delivery of evidence‑based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team locally and with other MHSTs within Essex.
* Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
Qualifications and Requirements
We are looking for an experienced Mental Health Practitioner holding a UK Professional Registration, who is willing to enrol on the Children and Young People’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Services supervisor course (funded as part of the MHST programme). The successful applicant will be a senior clinical team member, holding a clinical caseload and supervising junior staff and trainee EMHPs.
