Temporary 6-month contract, part-time (28.5 hpw), Monday-Friday
Salary: £24,638 per annum pro-rata, with benefits including Health Cash Plan

This is a great opportunity for a Community Housing Assistant to join Home Group's housing team in Kendal and South Lakes. As our Community Housing Assistant (CHA), you will provide face-to-face customer support to our communities. Typical day as our Community Housing Assistant
* Engage with customers and be visible on estates to understand community needs.
* Support housing managers in managing their areas and improving local neighborhoods.
* Assist with tasks such as managing void processes, liaising with authorities, conducting estate inspections, and meeting contractors.
* Perform and record safety and compliance checks in buildings and communities.
* Handle administrative tasks including updating records, ordering supplies, and arranging payments.

You bring
* A proactive, positive attitude, well-organized, able to work independently.
* A passion for excellent customer service and helping others.
* Ability to collaborate with colleagues and external partners confidently.
* Knowledge of housing management, law, and universal credit is beneficial but not essential.
* Comfort with using technology to update customer records.
* Understanding that this role involves working alone in local estates.

Job details
* This is a hybrid role, involving work in Kendal, South Lakes, and supporting the wider North West region.
* Regular team days are held in the office, approximately once a week, with flexibility in working hours.
* Work mainly Monday to Friday, with occasional evenings for customer meetings. You can shape your own schedule.
* A vehicle insured for business use is required; mileage will be reimbursed.
* A Standard DBS check is required; we will pay for this.
