At Grundon, we are on the lookout for a dynamic, passionate, and driven Waste Facility Operative to join our Hazardous Waste Services team based in Knowl Hill on a parttime basis.

Reporting into the Waste Facility Manager you will play a key role in driving our mission forward by assisting with loading and unloading waste from Grundon vehicles and third-party customers.
What will you do
* Receive, inspect, and process incoming waste materials
* Accurately weigh waste using weighbridge software, complete required documentation, and issue weighbridge ticket
* Operate our offensive waste compactor safely and efficiently
* Run bin wash machines and carry out bin repairs, ensuring all bins are clean, well maintained, and ready for return to customers
* Support the safe movement, handling, and storage of waste across the facility
* Ensure full compliance with all Company policies and procedures including health and safety and employment.
* Any other duties, such as ad hoc projects, as requested by the job holder's Manager/Supervisor or the Board of Directors that are within the skills and capabilities of the job holder.

* Able to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
* Clear and professional communication skills
* Confident in dealing with customers
* Basic IT skills (training on weighbridge software will be provided)
* A basic understanding of health and safety principles
