This Accounts Payable Assistant role is ideal for a school leaver, recent graduate, or someone seeking their first step into the finance world. Full training and ongoing development will be provided to help you succeed and grow within the role.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll be supporting the Accounts Payable function with tasks such as:
* Ensuring all monthly account statements are received from stock suppliers and requesting any missing ones.
* Verifying receipt of invoices and credit notes listed on supplier statements.
* Sending query sheets for incorrect invoices.
* Chasing for outstanding credit notes or GRNs.
* Matching supplier statement totals with system postings and preparing payment sheets.
* Assisting the manager with cash postings and general administrative tasks.
* Handling incoming calls, directing them appropriately, and assisting suppliers with remittance or queries.
Our client is looking for someone who:
* Has strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Communicates clearly and professionally.
* Is eager to learn and grow within a finance role.
* Can work independently and as part of a team.
* Has basic knowledge of accounting principles (preferred but not essential).
* Is proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
