Salary: £33-34,000 (term-time only)

Job Description
Key Responsibilities for Sous Chef
* Support Senior Kitchen Team: Assist in daily operations, ensuring smooth, efficient service alongside senior kitchen staff.
* Culinary Expertise Across All Sections: Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes for events and restaurant service.
* Mentorship and Team Development: Train and mentor Commis Chefs and Kitchen Porters, supporting their growth and skill development for future roles.
* Compliance with Safety and Hygiene Standards: Adhere to legislative and government guidelines, including Food Safety Act, Health and Safety at Work Act, and COSHH regulations, maintaining a safe and compliant kitchen environment.
Qualifications
* Ideally experience in Education catering
* Progressive career history
* Up to date with current food trends
* Real passion for food and customer service
* Good Health & Safety knowledge
* Ability to work within set budgets
* Know how to cost and plan menus accurately
* Familiar with training and coaching a team
