Were working with a leading civil and structural engineering consultancy seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to join their London office. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to take a leading role in the design and delivery of diverse civil infrastructure projects across the residential, commercial, education, industrial, and urban regeneration sectors.
Responsibilities
* Leading design and delivery of infrastructure and drainage projects
* Preparing and reviewing Flood Risk Assessments (FRA)
* SuDS and detailed drainage system design
* Earthworks and levels strategy
* S106, build-over, and S278 applications
* Public realm and highway improvements
* Hard landscaping and external works design
* Coordinating with stakeholders, local authorities, and clients
* Mentoring and reviewing work of junior staff
* Ensuring compliance with design standards and project deadlines
Required Skills & Experience
* Minimum of 8+ years experience in UK civil engineering design
* Proven leadership on development infrastructure projects
* Strong client-facing skills and project coordination ability
* In-depth experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, PDS, and MicroDrainage (WinDes)
* Solid understanding of UK planning policies and approval processes
* Chartered or working towards Chartered status with ICE
