Responsibilities
* Report to the Site Manager and manage the delivery of materials to site and distribution in accordance with the construction programme and instructions from the Site Manager, Assistant Site Manager, or Materials Controller.
* Regularly communicate with the Site Manager to stay up to date with changes to the construction programme.
* Advise Site Manager of shortages (e.g., blocks, bricks, silo mix) to prevent delays in the build programme.
* Check deliveries for quality and quantity; record any defective or short deliveries with the Materials Controller where applicable.
* Store and label materials correctly in designated store areas; follow standard compound setup.
* Ensure waste materials are loaded into the correct site skips for waste control.
* Report any defective/damaged materials when collecting or loading materials.
* Inspect the forklift daily for maintenance and record weekly inspections in the Plant Register; keep the forklift clean and roadworthy.
* Inspect any plant attachments (e.g., road brush) weekly and record in the Plant Register.
* Adhere to safe working practices at all times and report issues to the site manager.
* Ensure materials loaded on platforms allow loading bay gates to be closed at all times.
* Carry out labouring duties as required.
What You’ll Need
* Ability to work unsupervised and use one’s own initiative.
* Previous experience on large domestic volume house-building sites.
* FLT driver’s licence and a full UK driving licence.
* Relevant Health and Safety Awareness.
* Current CSCS or partner scheme card.
