Occupational Health Advisor
Location: Home based (with one day per month in central office). Some travel to Aurora Services will also be required.
Hours: 24 hrs per week (flexible on hours per day/number of days per week).

The Role:
* Review and advise on all pre-employment health questionnaires, liaising with the Onboarding Team, Service Leadership, and HR Business Partners, supporting health risk assessments and decision-making on candidate fitness for roles. Support risk assessment meetings as necessary.
* Develop and manage the Preferred Supplier List for occupational health providers, ensuring all supplier requirements are met and providing effective support for managing health issues and attendance.
* Undertake non-specialist Occupational Health Assessments and complete referral paperwork for occupational health providers.
* Support follow-up actions based on occupational health reports.
* Collaborate with Employee Relations and HR Business Partners in managing absence and positive attendance.
* Assist with reasonable adjustments, including managing Access to Work and other equipment suppliers.
* Support processes for adjustments that cannot be met internally, including capability management.
* Research and propose costed health and wellbeing initiatives.
Note: Duties may vary, and contribution to team goals is expected.
Experience:
Successful candidates should demonstrate:
* Relevant nursing qualification with Occupational Health specialization.
* Ability to support both business needs and individual employee requirements.
* Experience or understanding of working within a SEN environment.
* Strong verbal communication skills.
* Analytical skills for situations, information, and data.
* Flexibility and open-mindedness.
* Proactiveness and ability to work independently and within a team.
* Ability to work with minimal supervision.
While primarily home-based, candidates must be able to travel monthly to Twigworth, Gloucester, and attend services as needed. Travel expenses are reimbursed for public transport; driving is not essential.
