Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Laboratory Manager to oversee our laboratory operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in laboratory practices, and be aware and have knowledge of ISO This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results while managing a team of skilled laboratory technicians
Responsibilities
. Overseeing daily testing operations and to lead, motivate and support a team of technicians.
· Will take on the role to manage daily operations, ensuring and maintaining quality at all times, and ensuring safety and productivity within the lab environment.
· Carrying out daily calibrations and updating the records accordingly.
· Ensuring all tests are undertaken according to current test methods/standards and ensuring laboratory staff are following the procedures correctly.
· Assisting with the currency of test methods
· Performing and assisting with testing as and when required.
. Conduct regular audits of laboratory processes {in-house QA & Technical Audits) to maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
· Train new staff members
· Ensuring all Technical staff training records are kept up to date at all times.
· Have an eye for detail and be thorough in their work. Analyse data and results, providing insights to improve laboratory practices and outcomes.
· To work autonomously and as part of a small team, work under pressure and understand industry specifications.
. Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and equipment, ensuring all resources are available for ongoing projects.
.Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for laboratory processes.
.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
· Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
· Exceptional communication skills to effectively guide and support team members.

Pay: £17.50 per hour
