This role is a great opportunity to support vulnerable adults as they build confidence and independence in their own homes. You will help people develop daily living skills, stay safe, and take part in their community.
What the Role Involves
* Supporting people in line with their care plans and risk assessments.
* Building positive, trusting relationships with service users.
* Encouraging people to make their own choices and speaking up for them when needed.
* Working with other professionals such as social workers and the police.
* Helping with daily tasks like cooking, cleaning, shopping, and budgeting.
* Supporting people to settle into their home and feel welcome.
* Helping service users access activities, appointments, and community opportunities.
* Following safeguarding procedures and reporting concerns straight away.
* Responding to emergencies and contacting on-call support when required.
* Keeping clear and accurate daily notes, incident reports, and service user files.
* Following financial procedures, including petty cash.
* Attending training, supervision, and team meetings.
* Reporting maintenance issues and helping keep the home safe and tidy.
* Working in line with Dignus policies, confidentiality rules, and professional standards.
