Specialty Doctor - Oncology at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust
Join us as a Specialty Doctor in Oncology at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust.
Responsibilities include:
1. Providing senior ward cover and liaising with consultants regarding inpatients.
2. Supporting the acute oncology service and reviewing patients in chemotherapy and day care units.
3. Managing other inpatients requiring referral to oncology.
4. Conducting regular chemotherapy review clinics and assisting in other consultant clinics.
5. Ensuring comprehensive inpatient care and developing clinical skills in managing acutely ill patients.
6. Ward-based care of inpatients under consultant supervision.
7. Assisting oncology consultants in outpatient clinics.
8. Providing supervision to junior doctors.
9. Performing emergency procedures (training provided), such as lumbar puncture, ascitic drain, and chest drains.
10. Following patients through their clinical pathways.
