Are you a forward‑thinking nursery practitioner who is full of enthusiasm? Then you are for us! We are looking for a Level 2 or Level 3 early years practitioner for our nursery and pre‑school, based in Holland‑On‑Sea, near Clacton, Essex.
Little Holland Nursery is a beautiful nursery for children aged 0‑5. We are fully resourced, with our own garden, and are close to the beach and park for trips. As our new nursery practitioner you will be a vital member of the team, working closely with the other staff to support the children in your room. What you will achieve as a Nursery Practitioner
* Motivate children to learn, enabling them to feel secure, valued and respected, and help them approach learning with confidence and high self‑esteem.
* Enable all children to work towards achieving the early learning goals by the end of the foundation stage.
* Cover all areas of learning as set out in the EYFS.
* Work in partnership with parents and carers, encouraging them to be active partners in the continuing process of their childrens education.
* Most importantly, love your job, children and have fun!
What you’ll need to apply
* Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ or equivalent Early Years and Childcare requirement.
* Clear DBS.
Additional qualifications (preferred)
* Safeguarding minimum level 2 (preferred).
* Paediatric first aid (preferred).
Experience
* Childcare: 1 year (preferred).
* Expected start date: as soon as possible.
Information about the School
Little Holland Nursery is a beautiful nursery for children aged 0‑5. We are fully resourced, with our own garden, and are close to the beach and park for trips. We are open from 8 am to 6 pm all year. We offer a broad range of activities and resources to follow childrens individual needs. The nursery has a loving, homely and stimulating environment and is managed by an Early Years Professional. We offer home‑cooked food for everyone at no additional cost, including for funded placements. We take children from 3 months of age and have places for 2, 3 and 4 year old funding. We teach children to be independent and have a phonics programme in place to enable children to learn how to be confident with their letter sounds and numbers. We have a well‑planned garden with astro turf, a huge sandpit, mud kitchens and a digging/growing area. We support children with special educational needs and disabilities by allocating a key person who gets to know the children really well and who can plan for their individual learning. We offer a variety of activities to progress learning and differentiate them for individual needs. We have invested in suitable tablets with appropriate software to enable children to become computer literate. We work with professionals involved with the children to fully meet their needs. Our staff have appropriate training to be able to support and identify children who may need extra help.
