Job title: Mechanical Craftsperson (will consider Process Operative) Job Type: Contract IR35 Status: Inside Start date: Asap - Subject to being onboarded/security cleared Duration: 12 Month Contract Pay rate: £23.12 - £25.86 (depending whether candidate has a mech background or Process op background Hours of work : 5x2 double days Location: Preston Key Responsibilities: Operate, monitor, and maintain plant equipment in accordance with strict safety and regulatory standards. Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and corrective maintenance to ensure plant reliability. Accurately record operational data and report any anomalies promptly. Work collaboratively with engineers and other team members to support continuous improvement initiatives. Adhere to all nuclear safety, environmental, and quality assurance requirements. Essential Requirements: Technical qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering. Previous experience in a regulated or high-hazard industry (nuclear, chemical, power generation preferred).
