Anderson Green Ltd is a leading privately owned Building Services Consultancy and we have a permanent vacancy for an Electrical Design Engineer based within our Nottingham and Leeds Offices.
The position is an ideal opportunity for an existing Electrical Design Engineer wishing to develop professionally or a ‘time served’ Electrician or University Graduate looking for their first opportunity to transition in to an office-based environment.
Within this role you will have the opportunity to:

The Role
The successful candidate will work alongside our other building services designers and Revit Technicians on a wide range of projects across varying market sectors, delivering services from inception / feasibility through to detailed and fully-coordinated design for installation purposes. RIBA stage 0 to 5.
Duties will include:
* Preparing load calculations and applying for utility connections
* Production of detailed electrical services design
* Attend design team and project meetings
* Undertaking sub-contractor design drawing and technical submission reviews
* Undertaking site quality and legislative inspections and prepare associated reports
* Coordinating design with colleagues from other disciplines
* Referring to industry design guides, British Standards and Building Regulations
Personal Qualities:
Preferred skills, experience & qualifications:
* A clear understanding of the electrical building services design standards and guidance.
* An understanding of Building Regulations Part L and BREEAM would be an advantage
* Organised with a flexible attitude
* Articulate with the ability to communicate at all levels
* Be a team player, but able to operate at an individual level
* Problem solving abilities
* Have a UK full driving licence.
Training and Development:
* Any required training will be provided ‘in house’ supported by self-directed study and by attending college/university one day per week, studying on a recognised pathway e.g., HNC/D and Degree or equivalent.
