People Security Adviser Location: London (Hybrid) Contract Length: 12 months Day Rate: £528 (Inside IR35) Overview We are seeking an experienced People Security Adviser to join a dynamic team within the National Security and Government sector. This is a pivotal role offering the opportunity to strengthen the security posture of critical national infrastructure, ensuring the protection of personnel and physical assets across a range of environments. Key Responsibilities Lead and support personnel and physical security initiatives Conduct security risk assessments, investigations, and incident response planning Develop and maintain security policies, controls, and standards Ensure alignment with UK Government vetting and security requirements Produce high-quality reports and documentation using MS Office tools Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance overall security operations and resilience Essential Skills and Experience Proven experience in personnel and physical security management, ideally within UK Government or national infrastructure environments Strong background in risk assessment, incident response, and security investigations Excellent communication, influence, and stakeholder management skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Solid understanding of government security standards, integrated security frameworks, and risk management methodologies Desirable Skills Formal security qualifications or membership of professional security bodies Experience in change management and delivering security improvement programmes Ability to coordinate security forums and working groups Knowledge of cyber security, threat intelligence, and identity and access management (IAM) Relevant security certifications or postgraduate qualification preferred Additional Requirements Active UK Security Clearance (SC) is essential Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle Willingness to travel occasionally across London sites
