Tendring PCN has an exciting opportunity for a hardworking, enthusiastic and innovative pharmacy technician to join our primary care network on a full-time basis for 37.5 hours per week.
You will join our pharmacists and pharmacy technicians who support patients across our 3 practices; Great Bentley Surgery, St James Surgery in Clacton and Mayflower Medical Centre in Harwich.
The successful candidate will benefit from this opportunity to build up strong working relationships, across our organisation, and will be actively involved in how their role evolves over time.
Main duties of the job
* Developing our prescribing systems to ensure safe, effective and efficient prescribing within the PCN.
* Supporting the reception and administration teams, at our member practices, with complex medication queries.
* Supporting the GP partners on prescribing projects and cost/safety audits and actions.

Our aim is to deliver better health outcomes for our local patient populations, and reduce health inequalities, via provision of additional roles and services to extend the General Practice Teams.
Tendring PCN are one of the 22 PCN Test Sites as part of the national PCN pilot programme, a partnership with SNEE ICB and NHS England to narrow demand and capacity gaps, improve workforce and patient experiences, as well as sustain general practice for the future.
Fixed term contract extensions are subject to continued funding.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered pharmacy technician with the GPhC.
* Diploma Level 3 in pharmacy services, or equivalent.
Experience
* Strong experience in either a community pharmacy or a primary care setting.
* Confident in analysing and presenting information to health professionals.
* Experience of implementing and promoting cost-effective strategies.
* Ability to interpret complex clinical information and present it in suitable formats, to a variety of people from professional and non-professional backgrounds.
