A newly-created opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join a well-respected commercial company in their offices west of Reading. Leading and managing a team of 5, this role is pivotal in continuing to drive and streamline financial operations within the company. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, proactive and a strong communicator in this varied and rewarding role. Hybrid work pattern offered.
Key Responsibilities:
* Overseeing preparation of monthly management accounts
* Manage a team of 5 people
* Authorizing claims and supplier payments
* Monitoring cash flow
* Ensuring compliance with finance-related policies
* Evaluating development costs and capital expenditure
* Overseeing credit control
* Managing purchase order system for IT expenditure
* Managing insurance funds
* Liaising with underwriters
* Handling FCA submissions
* Preparing and filing VAT returns
Requirements:
* Qualified Accountant - ACCA, CIMA ideal
* Proficiency in Excel for analysis and reporting
* Prior experience with Sage or similar accounting software desirable
* Accuracy and strong attention to detail
* Must have managed a small finance team in a commercial SME
