Salary: £12.36 per hour (all hours worked are paid) plus TRONC – tips are pooled and shared with the team, paid out monthly.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our kitchen team at The Fish Shop Restaurant and Fishmongers as a Commis Chef, working closely with our Executive Chef, Marcus Sherry, and team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a strong passion for excellent food and a desire to develop your cooking skills. You will learn and gain experience in each section of our kitchen.
As a Commis Chef, you will be responsible for:
1. Preparing mis-en-place for your assigned section according to provided lists.
2. Ensuring the quality of food preparation meets high standards.
3. Maintaining effective communication within the team.
4. Assisting in other sections or duties as required.
5. Ensuring cleanliness, organization, and standards of your section.
Our successful Commis Chef will have:
1. A true passion for food.
2. Enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
3. Good kitchen and knife skills.
4. Understanding of health & safety and food safety guidelines.
5. Willingness to work to high standards.
6. Innovation, creativity, and attention to detail.
