We have an exciting opportunity to join our kitchen team at The Fish Shop Restaurant and Fishmongers as a Commis Chef, working closely with our Executive Chef, Marcus Sherry, and team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a strong passion for excellent food and a desire to develop your cooking skills. You will learn and gain experience in each section of our kitchen.
As a Commis Chef, you will be responsible for:
1. Preparing mis-en-place for your assigned section according to provided lists.
2. Ensuring the quality of food preparation is of an exceptional standard.
3. Ensuring effective communication within the team.
4. Assisting in other sections or helping with other duties when required.
5. Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and standards of your section.
Our successful Commis Chef will have:
1. A true passion for food.

3. Good kitchen and knife skills.
4. A good understanding of health & safety and food safety guidelines within the kitchen.
5. Willingness to work to high standards.
