Here at SJ Bargh, we have an amazing opportunity for a Technician (Nights) to join the team based in Lancaster. You will be working on a Monday to Thursday, 6pm – 6am shift pattern and in return you will receive a highly competitive salary of £53,308 per annum. What's in it for you? * 22.5 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays) * Increase in annual leave with long service * Full training available * Annual pay review * Unum Help@Hand Wellbeing Programme * Life insurance * Cycle2Work scheme * Free onsite parking What you will you be doing as our technician? * Operating from the Lancaster workshop or from a mobile workshop * Carrying out vehicle and trailer safety inspections, servicing, and repairs to DVSA standards of safety and compliance * Maintaining vehicle and trailer ancillaries and specialist body applications * Assisting whenever required with maintenance on mobile or fixed plant operated by the Operations team * Ensuring that associated company maintenance records are retained to the highest level to ensure compliance whether legislative or to company procedures * Using the R2C fleet maintenance system for allocated work/repairs * Effectively communicating repair downtime, estimated repair times and completed repairs to the Workshop Supervisor and Service Manager as required * Keeping tooling and equipment to a good standard of repair and to report any equipment faults or calibrations due to the Workshop Supervisor * Assisting the parts team ordering products as required What skills & qualifications do you need to be our Technician? * A self-motivated individual with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels * Good organisational skills and able to work to deadlines * Team orientated * Good attention to detail * Equivalent of NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds * Good working knowledge of workshop maintenance systems * Good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel * C1e licence holder (desirable) If this role sounds like the right fit for you, please apply today to become our new Technician, we would love to hear from you!
