Job Opportunity: Qualified Adults AMHP Location: Oldham, England Salary: Up to £45,718.00 per annum Contract: Permanent | Full-Time Start Date: ASAP Are you a passionate and experienced Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) looking for a rewarding permanent opportunity? Oldham Council is seeking a dedicated and qualified Adults AMHP to join their Mental Health Services team, supporting adults experiencing acute mental health crises. Key Responsibilities: Undertake statutory duties under the Mental Health Act 1983 (as amended), including assessments and applications for detention. Work closely with partner agencies including NHS services, police, and crisis teams to deliver timely, person-centred support. Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues on mental health legislation and best practice. Participate in a rota system to ensure consistent AMHP coverage across the borough. Promote recovery-focused, strengths-based practice that protects the rights and wellbeing of vulnerable adults.
