Legal Secretary/Assistant – Abuse & Public Inquiries
We are recruiting for an experienced Legal Secretary/Assistant to join our successful Abuse and Public Inquiries team in Manchester.
Responsibilities
* Chase medical reports, review records and prepare trial bundles.
* Manage medical/treatment instructions and send instructions to Counsel.
* Pay disbursements and draft letters to clients.
* Run retainers and assist Fee Earners with various tasks.
* Review CCTV and book legal hearings.
* Arrange conferences, manage ledgers (client balances and aged debt), and handle file transfers.
* Provide updates to clients.
Qualifications
Previous legal secretarial experience is required; a law degree is not required.
