Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse will implement the Nursing Process based on established Standards of Practice, ensuring adherence to patient care policies and procedures in line with GHMC-Catskill and Garnet Health policies, the Nurse Practice Act, and New York State Licensure requirements. The nurse should demonstrate critical thinking, effective organization, triage and prioritization skills, and the ability to apply evidence-based nursing practices.

Compensation for this role ranges from $48.50-$74.60.
Garnet Health provides a compensation range to comply with New York State law on Salary Transparency. This range does not include bonuses, incentives, or other benefits. Factors such as location, experience, education, and internal policies may influence actual compensation.
Qualifications
Minimum Education: Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred.
Minimum Experience: Previous Critical Care or at least 1 year of medical-surgical experience preferred.
Required Certification/Registration:
* Current NY State license and registration as a professional nurse.
* CCRN and/or ANCC-Med/Surg certification preferred.
* Completion of BLS Provider Course before unit orientation ends; ACLS renewal not required if obtained.
* Completion of cardiac arrhythmia interpretation course within 3 months of hire.
* Completion of hospital crisis prevention training within 3 months of hire and annually thereafter.
* ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
* Completion of CAPD class within 6 months of hire.
