Job Description
Business Partnering & Performance Management
3. Partner with manufacturing site leadership teams to understand operational drivers and deliver meaningful financial insight, whilst challenging the status quo, to ensure the business is continually improving.
4. Support site performance reviews, identifying opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and margin enhancement.
5. Provide real-time financial analysis to support production planning, inventory management, and capacity utilization.
6. Work with the wider finance team to forecast and explain monthly performance, taking appropriate action for continuous improvement.
Financial Planning & Analysis
7. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for manufacturing operations.
8. Support with product costing, standard cost setting, and variance analysis (material, labour, and direct costs of production).
9. Prepare and present monthly management packs with clear performance commentary and improvement recommendations.
Operational & Strategic Support
10. Partner with relevant stakeholders to optimize material costs and working capital.
11. Collaborate with production teams to enhance cost control and resource utilization.
The Successful Applicant
Successful applicants should have:
12. A professional qualification in accounting or finance (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
13. Proven experience in a commercial finance role within the FMCG industry.
14. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
15. Excellent communication skills to effectively present financial insights to stakeholders.
16. A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement and cost efficiency.
17. Proficiency in financial software and tools, with attention to detail.
