Key Responsibilities
1. Start your day in store, preparing for deliveries.
2. Check your delivery routes for the day.
3. Load and prepare your van, ensuring all orders are organized for efficient delivery.
4. Complete vehicle safety checks, maintaining road compliance, health, and safety standards.
5. Represent the Waitrose brand on the road with excellent customer service.
6. Assist customers with their shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
7. Support the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks when required.
Essential Skills/Experience
* Full valid B-Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Good time management skills.
* Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting crates and moving cages.
* Self-motivated and adaptable, able to work independently.
* IT literate.
Desirable Skills/Experience
* Previous experience in a driving role.
* Knowledge of chilled vehicles.
As a Customer Delivery Driver, you'll bring quality Waitrose produce and Partner-led service directly to customers' doors, embodying our ethos - passionate Partners serving food lovers.
When not on the road, you'll support the shop team with stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to a friendly and efficient shop environment.
Part-time hours of 16.5 per week across seven days, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, between 06:00 - 22:00.
