Employment Type
Permanent, full‑time, 37 hours per week across 4 days (Mon‑Fri) with a rolling rota day. Work includes participation in a call‑out stand‑by rota (typically 1 week in 7).

Key Responsibilities
* Maintain electrical and mechanical assets across Yorkshire Water’s Clean Water infrastructure.
* Deliver planned and reactive maintenance as part of a mobile maintenance team.
* Respond to emergency calls both during and outside working hours (on‑call stand‑by). Travel to sites across the Yorkshire region is required; a full EU‑valid driving licence is essential.
* Work unsupervised in remote geographical locations, meeting agreed timescales, quality and cost targets.
* Supervise approved contract partners, providing risk assessments and method statements when required.
* Use a Toughbook to capture all work activity and job status in line with workflow processes.
* Assist in training apprentices and less experienced team members.
* Install and commission new plant and equipment to relevant standards.
* Diagnose and repair faults on systems and plant, including industrial motors, starters, 3‑phase systems and LV control circuits.
* Proactively identify and report follow‑on work or areas for enhancement.
* Specify parts and equipment required for procurement as part of day‑to‑day work.
Required Qualifications and Experience
* Recognised Electrical Craft/Technician Apprenticeship.
* City & Guilds / ONC / BTEC / NVQ / HNC / HND or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Engineering Technology.
* Demonstrated experience in safe isolation to current IET regulations.
* Time‑served industrial electrician experience.
* Fault finding on control circuits up to PLCs.
* IT literacy (MS Office).
* Ability to produce maintenance reports.
* Experience with industrial motors, starters and 3‑phase systems.
* Experience with rotating equipment and LV control circuits.
Desirable Qualifications
* IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (City & Guilds 2382‑18).
* CompEx 1‑4.
* HNC Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
* Experience with pneumatics.
* Work within ATEX standards.
* Experience maintaining UPS systems.
* Fault finding with soft start or variable speed drives.
* Fault finding with actuated valves.
